Comic: The adventures of Secret Agent 0013

1. Describe story and characters: how did you come with the idea? What are you trying to communicate?

A: My story is only one panel, and I also have one main character: secret agent 0013. I like espionage stuff, and I like comics that make me laugh, so I made a comic that has both.

I was inspired by Gary Larson’s: the Far Side, and the James Bond movies (who has a laser watch in one of his movies.)

2. Does your comic evoke a certain feeling?

       A: Mostly humor, and the shortcomings of technology.

3. What materials and techniques did you use to make your comic?

      A:  First, I sketched out my idea then scanned it into the computer. Then I inked it, and used the smudge tool on the fire. I decided to keep it in black & white.

4. Is this a successful comic? Is there anything you would change/improve?

      A: For the firs few drafts (and my original sketch) I spelled “laser” wrong. :-)

5. What did you learn?

       A:   I learned a bit more about Photoshop, and a lot on how to edit my comic.
